“It’s about Annie, a girl who is described as nice by her friends. She is a geek who develops into a personality when the goes off to university,” said Zoe, who moved to our shores for love recently.
Annie is horrified but admits her life is was a little dull. Living under the shadow of her parents, she is expected to fulfill their expectations as a daughter. But it all changes when Annie moves to Kuala Lumpur and she gets a chance to spread her wings. Can this geek transform into a swan or is she doomed to follow through her parents plans?
“After moving to KL, she gets a chance to explore different aspects of life including love, relationships, job amidst few struggles,” added Zoe, a multitalented artist who has done her share of singing, dancing, operatics, choreographing from Melbourne.
A Stud, A Babe & A Latte Boy is Zoe’s pet project and together with Malik and Lex, they are making it their own. Based on Zoe’s housemate in university, the story is about a nerd who needs to be heard, a dud who wants to be a stud and a boy who reveals the skeletons in his closet.
A combination of a musical, opera and theatre, the show is set in a little cosy café. Zoe will be joined by Malik, who plays the stud Felix, her cool, flambouyant housemate and Lex’s alter ego Taylor, the latte boy who wins the affections of Annie.
